At the age of seventeen (17), Reverend Glynn was called to the ministry by God and began preaching.  He was licensed  in 1975 and ordained in 1977 by the Mount Horeb Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.

During 1975 and 1976, he attended Bishop College in Dallas, Texas.  He attended Mount Hope Bible College in  Houston, Texas and in 1979 received a Bachelor of Theology Degree.  In 1982, he received his Master of Theology Degree.

In 1980, Reverend Glynn was called to Pastor the Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.  He remained there for ten (10) years.

In 1991, he was called to Pastor the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas where he currently serves (25 years).

​

Reverend Glynn has held numerous memberships and affiliations with organizations throughout the country. He served as Moderator of the North Texas District Association for sixteen years (1999-2015). In 2002 he began serving as 2nd  Vice President of the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas where he currently continues to serve.  He previously served from 2003 until 2010 as the  First Vice President of the National Baptist Convention of  America International, Incorporated. Since 2014 until the present he again serves as First Vice President of the National Baptist Convention of America International, Incorporated.

He has received several awards and recognitions for his preaching and evangelism, including recognition on April 1, 2010 by the Morehouse College Martin Luther King, Jr. International Board of Preachers for his excellence in ministry.
